You do a great job invoking an old man here, completely oblivious of the fact that Bitcoin is amazing because it subverts traditional commerce. Decentralized currency is the future, just as valuable as the pieces of paper and plastic cards we put faith in, now. Only big brother isn’t watching. No one is watching. Privacy is what drives this unstoppable force. People are ill-informed/completely ignorant of Bitcoin’s application to the dark web, and of the dark web itself, most of the time. Decentralized currency is not going anywhere, anytime soon, anymore than the internet is. “Life finds a way”. Bitcoin is the answer to centuries of oppression, prohibition, and wildly misleading propaganda, worldwide. It’s like when Netflix put the malevolent giant, Blockbuster, out of business. They simply offered something better... Bitcoin is Netflixing* the global economy. Satoshi is a hero… and a code pirate. Pirates don’t attach their signatures to bank forms. They are smarter than that. #duhdoy If I had to pick a currency to survive the inevitable advancement of our species, I would bet all my dollars on Bitcoin. It’s a bunch of fiat. #uknowwhatImean Which has more strength, at the moment? The US dollar has a far less trustworthy history.
P.S. What is a few extra seconds for strength of security? Have you seen the captchas we are filling out nowadays!? My 16+ character passwords are certainly frustrating, but I keep doing them. Smart people don’t value speed. The underground is leaving the mainstream in the dust, tortoise and hare style.
*Netflix (verb)
- To overthrow an oppressive regime by offering a better alternative. Netflixing is extremely lucrative, without fail, but one must never start with the intention of amassing wealth. (See also, Satoshi Nakamoto)
